this weekend we went to tallahassee again and had a family sleepover with the insalacos! it was a fun time with cooking, adventure and fun! we spent time making things such as espresso cupcakes with chocolate ganache sprinkled with nibs and we made our own fruit leather! we went on house hunting adventures. we found the perfect one but alas, it is not affordable. we went to breakfast with a friend which was relaxing and so very enjoyable! we love going to tallahassee because not only do we get to spend time with friends but our perspective is refreshed when we spend time with students. nonetheless it was a spectacular weekend and we can't wait for our valentines weekend camping trip with the insalacos!
now onto my fun finds!
here is a cute, inexpensive way to tell someone
you love them. create felt shaped fortune cookies
and put your significant others favorite candy inside
along with a saucy love note.
i love the mix matched chairs at this table. the mint green walls are soothing and appropriate for the room.
i love the wire armoirish thing on the far wall. it looks as if it
is holding coloring books.
there is something so simple yet warm about this nook. i love it. the
contrast between the canary yellow and the dark wood from the floor is scrumptious.
not to mention it is situated between two windows that simply soak in the sunshine.
here are some delicious breakfast muffins that i made recently.
they are healthy and very simple to make.tell me what you think!
1/2 c canola oil
1/2 c brown sugar
1 c unsweetened applesauce
1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 c raisins
1/3 c dried cranberries/cherries
*you can even add nuts to these if you prefer*
